Metropolitan Grand Lodge & Chapter Float 2025

 THE EVENT
Join us on Saturday the 8th November at the Lord Mayors Show. Either just Walking in the Parade or Walking & Dining come and support London Freemasons and the Search & Rescue Teams with their dogs, who will be walking & dining with us.

Walking fee £20.00.
Dining cost £79.00.

Walk a brisk 1.7 miles outward, take a short refreshment break, then 1.3 miles back. High five the crowds and show them how remarkable the dogs are.

 GETTING THERE
Roads around the Show route are all closed on Saturday 8th Nov. No buses or taxis can enter.
All stations St Pauls, Barbican, Farringdon, Blackfriars, Moorgate are just 6 – 15 minutes’ walk from Butchers Hall.

 Have a cup of tea/coffee.

There will be a compulsory Walkers & LONSAR Team briefing at 09:45.

 MEETING UP – WALKERS
On Saturday morning please make your way with your S&R dogs at 9.00am to The Worshipful Company of Butchers, Butchers’ Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, London, EC1A 7EB. There will be Metropolitan Grand Stewards there to greet you. Please register on arrival.

Toilets: Use the toilets before leaving Butchers Hall, there are few on route and no chance to stop once we start walking.

Unwell: If someone feels unwell during the parade please don’t leave them alone. Stay with them and seek assistance.

So that spectators get a good view of the floats we discourage umbrellas. Ponchos are provided should the weather become inclement.

We don’t know our float number yet.
Once we do make sure that you tell your family and friends to look out for you.

LUNCHEON

Over 80 masons, LONSAR Teams, friends and family will dine with us in the sumptuous surroundings of Butchers Hall,
We sit down to lunch as the Walkers return at 2.30pm, finishing up around 4.30pm.

A cash bar is available at Butchers Hall for everyone from 12.00pm.

 BBC TV televise the Show for from 10:45 for 1 hour and 19 minutes live to 1.2 million people, as the City welcomes its new Lord Mayor of London.

 Encourage your Lodge or Chapter and friends to come along on the day and support us.
